A Delhi resident, the woman stated that she, her friend, and her friend’s employer had travelled to Kasauli. “We met Rocky Mittal in the hotel’s lobby as he is a singer. Later, we all went to our room, and left the hotel the next day,” she added, claiming that the trio shared the same room.

She questioned that if rape had taken place, how come nobody came to know about it in the hotel. “Why didn’t the victim raise the alarm or make a noise?” she asked.

She further clarified that she had never met or seen Badoli. “The Himachal Police contacted me several times, but I did not respond because I had no knowledge of any such incident. They included my name in the case as a witness without my consent,” she said.

The Kasauli police had booked Badoli and Rocky Mittal, alias Jai Bhagwan, on the charges of gangrape and criminal intimidation on a complaint filed by a woman on December 13, 2024. According to the FIR, the case pertains to July 3, 2023, when the victim, who is from Haryana, had come to Himachal Pradesh, along with her friend and employer.
