Department of Youth and Cultural Affairs, Kurukshetra University, will organise the 37th four-day state-level cultural festival ‘Ratnawali’ from October 25 to 28.

The university has been organising the cultural fest since 1985 as a state-level festival. Artistes and students from Haryana take part in 34 diverse events.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor KUK Prof Som Nath Sachdeva in which 14 committees were formed to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

During the meeting, Prof Sachdeva said this festival was organised on the occasion of Haryana Day to preserve and showcase the Haryanvi folk and culture and to recognise Haryana’s rich cultural legacy.

The director, youth and cultural affairs, KUK, Prof Vivek Chawla, said different committees had been constituted with their defined responsibilities. There were total 34 events exhibiting Haryana’s heritage and culture in which thousands of artistes would participate.
