Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sudhir Rajpal recently inspected the record of Ayushman beneficiaries during his visit to Sub-divisional Hospital, Naraingarh, and suspended a doctor for negligence in maintaining the record.

He was accompanied by Director General, Health Services (Programme), Kuldeep Singh, Ambala Civil Surgeon Dr Rakesh Sehal and several other officials. The ACS during the inspection found there were 60 patients of Ayushman scheme, but the record was not maintained, following which the nodal officer of Ayushman Bharat scheme in the hospital was suspended.

The ACS inspected the medicine store and directed the doctors and department officials to ensure all facilities to patients and smooth functioning. The officials also inspected an under-construction building of the Sub-divisional Civil Hospital in Naraingarh. The ACS directed the XEN PWD (B&R) to complete and hand over the ground floor of the building to the Health Department by November 15.

As per the information, a PGI team also comes to the Civil Hospital every Tuesday and Friday, but during the inspection, no PGI doctor was present. He directed the Civil Surgeon, Ambala, to talk to the Director PGI about this.

Five medical officers deputed at Ayushman Bharat office, Panchkula, were also directed to join duty in Naraingarh hospital.
