Reimbursement for 31 dental treatments for Haryana Govt employees, pensioners
Chandigarh, March 25
To take care of the oral health needs of its employees, pensioners and their dependents, the Haryana Government has come out with a new policy for the reimbursement of the cost of dental treatment.
Under the new policy, the beneficiaries will be able to get reimbursement of the cost of treatment for 31 dental procedures even if the treatment is from the government-empanelled private hospitals.
The policy would be applicable to the regular government employees, while contractual and outsourced employees would not come under its ambit.
“The beneficiaries surrender the option of availing fixed medical allowance and change to open medical allowance to avail the medical reimbursement of dental procedures in OPD basis. Once the claimant opts for open medical allowance, the same shall continue for two years,” Haryana’s director general health services (DGHS) said in the policy. — TNS
