Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta said earlier, the last date for the registration of crops on the MFMB portal was July 31, which had now been extended to August 31.

“The work on registration of kharif crops is being done on the MFMB portal. Farmers, who have sown kharif crops, including paddy crops in their agriculture fields, must register their crops on the MFMB portal,” said DC Parth Gupta.

He said at the time of crop sale, the government would buy only from those farmers who were registered on the MFMB portal.

“In such a situation, it is necessary that the farmers of the district must register the details of their sown kharif crops on the portal and get it registered to avoid any kind of inconvenience and sell the crops at the price fixed by the government,” said Parth Gupta. He said the physical verification of the crop shown by the farmer on the portal would also be done.

Giving information about other benefits of registration, he said once the government got the details of all farmers, it would become easy to call them to the grain market.

“The farmers are informed on which day and at what time they have to come to the grain market to sell their crops by sending a message on their mobile number,” said Parth Gupta.

Yamunanagar Deputy Director of Agriculture Aditya Pratap Dabas said it was mandatory for the farmers concerned to have a family identity card to get the crops registered. He said the farmers could contact toll free number 1800-180-2117 to get any information.

“The crop registration is being done on the MFMB portal. The farmers can get their crops registered by visiting the portal themselves or through the Common Service Centre,” said Dabas.
