The Federation’s activities and various issues concerning retired principals and professors were discussed. Zonal secretary Dr Nirmal Singh briefed members on the activities carried out by the Federation. Dr Dalbir Singh said that while retired government-aided employees were granted full pension benefits only after 28 years of service, their counterparts in government colleges received full benefits after 20 years. He urged the government to extend the same benefits to government-aided employees after 20 years of service.
