During the meeting, the association unanimously elected its office-bearers.

Former Professor (law) KPS Mahalwar was elected the president, while Amar Verma was appointed the general secretary.

The executive committee includes Jagdish Nandal, Anju Khanna, Des Raj, Tilak Raj, Harish Kumar, and Sanju Nanda.

In his address, Mahalwar welcomed all members and emphasised the association’s commitment to the welfare of retired faculty.

He said the platform would serve as a space for sharing experiences, voicing concerns, and promoting continued engagement in academic and institutional development.

Verma thanked the members for their participation and called on all retired teachers to join the association in large numbers. He stressed the importance of collective effort in addressing the issues faced post-retirement and creating a strong support network.

Ravinder Vinayak, retired Professor (commerce), said the association would provide an important forum for dialogue and mutual support, helping members tackle challenges encountered after retirement.

Echoing the sentiment, Madhu Nagla expressed happiness at reconnecting with colleagues, describing the gathering as a much-needed initiative for building solidarity and raising collective concerns with the

university administration.

Other retired faculty members, including Harish Kumar, Shashi Mehra, and Ashwani Sharma, also shared their views, and offered suggestions for the association’s roadmap.
