Yamunanagar: A retirement party was organised at Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Yamunanagar for associate professor Kamalpreet Kaur. The event began with the faculty members extending a warm welcome to her and other guests. Principal Harinder Singh Kang thanked Kamalpreet for her contribution to the field of academics and for inspiring countless students and colleagues with her dedication and passion for teaching. Several faculty members, including Amrit Kaur, Sanjay Arora, Pratima Sharma, Iqbal and Rajinder Singh Vohra, shared anecdotes about Kamalpreet, emphasising the role she played in their lives as a mentor and friend. Kamalpreet reflected on her 36 years of service at the college. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her colleagues, students and the administration for their support. The college administration and the faculty members presented her with a special gift.
Varsity releases counselling plan
Mahendragarh: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, has released the counselling schedule for admissions to undergraduate (UG) programmes for the 2024-25 academic session. Vice-Chancellor Tankeshwar Kumar said classes would start on August 22. Admission coordinators Tejpal Dheva, Siddharth Shankar Rai and Sushil Kumar said online registrations for UG courses would begin on August 1 and category-wise lists would be released on the university’s official website (www.cuh.ac.in) on August 13. On the basis of it, admissions for the first counselling would be done till August 15, they said.
