Revision of voter lists for four MCs of Karnal district begins

The revision of voter lists for Municipal Committees (MCs) in Taraori, Nilokheri, Indri and Assandh has started and it will be completed by December 16, said Uttam Singh, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer.

In compliance with a notification from the Haryana State Election Commission, the District Election Officer has appointed the revising authorities to look after the preparation of updated voter lists for the MCs. Assandh SDM Rahul Rai has been designated as the revising authority for the Assandh MC, Nilokheri SDM Ashok Kumar for Nilokheri MC, Gharaunda SDM Rajesh Kumar Soni will manage the Indri MC, Roadways General Manager Kuldeep Singh will look after the Taraori MC. The revision process will conclude by December 16, said the DC.

After the publication of the draft voter list, claims and objections can be submitted between December 17 and December 23. The revising authorities will address their claims and objections by December 27. Those dissatisfied with the decision of the revising authorities can appeal to the Deputy Commissioner by December 31. The Deputy Commissioner will resolve all appeals by January 3, 2025. The final voter lists for all four MCs will be published on January 6, 2025.
