The visit came two days after leaders of the Dhankhar Khap, representatives of various gram panchayats, and Rohit’s family met DGP OP Singh, urging him to ensure justice by arresting the killers.

“The IGP visited Rohit’s home in the morning and met the family. He also shared information about the ongoing investigation. Assuring the family, he said police teams are persistently conducting raids to nab the accused,” sources said.

The IGP further told the family that “The Haryana Police is treating the case with the highest seriousness and that the entire department stands with them.”

26-year-old Rohit Dhankar was brutally assaulted by a group of assailants during a wedding ceremony at Rewari Khera village in Bhiwani district last month. He was brought to the PGIMS Rohtak in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
