In a bid to resolve village-level grievances on the spot and accelerate grassroots development, the Rohtak district administration will launch a multi-sectoral campaign titled ‘Prashasan Aapke Gaon’ on September 26. The initiative, conceived by ADC-cum-Chief Executive Officer (Zila Parishad) Narendra Kumar, will review the implementation of government schemes and services across nine critical sectors in all panchayat areas.

Designed to take governance to villagers’ doorsteps, the campaign will allow residents to raise issues directly with officials and share suggestions in an open and participatory manner.

“The campaign is being launched to strengthen governance and ensure effective delivery of services at the grassroots. Along with officers from 25 departments, I will visit one village each week to review progress in areas such as infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, welfare, environment, engineering and resource management,” ADC Narendra Kumar told The Tribune.

He said the focus would extend beyond infrastructure to the quality of services, particularly for marginalised groups.

Reviews will include the use and upkeep of community assets such as panchayat ghars, community halls, e-libraries, indoor gyms, water management systems and conservation projects. In education and child welfare, assessments will cover school infrastructure, mid-day meals, Anganwadi records and child protection awareness.

Special attention will be given to health and sanitation, including Ayushman Bharat enrolment, immunisation drives, availability of medicines and staff, drug de-addiction awareness, household toilets, cleanliness campaigns and health camps.

Agriculture and livelihood reviews will cover farmer training, crop insurance, self-help groups, NRLM activities and animal husbandry. Welfare schemes such as pensions, PM Awas Yojana Gramin, MGNREGA payments, PDS, Ujjwala Yojana and Aadhaar/SARAL services will also be monitored.

Environmental checks will track plantation drives, water body rejuvenation, plastic bans and waste segregation. Engineering departments such as PWD, HSAMB, NHAI and UHBVN will be coordinated with, alongside the implementation of flagship renewable energy schemes like PM Kusum and PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

Kumar directed all officers to ensure strict compliance and cooperation, noting that the campaign’s success would be vital to enhancing transparency, accountability and rural development outcomes in Rohtak district.
