According to Kochar, he received the threatening message on Tuesday evening from a person who identified himself as Kapil alias Nandu. The message explicitly warned that Kochar and his children would face serious harm if the demand was not fulfilled.

In his complaint, Kochar cited his frequent business travels to Delhi and sought immediate police protection. “This isn’t the first time I’ve been threatened. A similar incident occurred back in 2013, and I was assigned a police gunman for security,” he said, urging authorities to take swift action to safeguard him and his family.

The police have taken cognisance of the complaint and initiated an investigation into the matter.
