Deepak was the companion of the victim’s wife Divya. The day he committed suicide, Magan had uploaded a message on social media, stating that he was going to end his life as Divya was demanding money for Deepak’s promotion.

Days after the alleged suicide, a video of Divya dancing with Deepak had gone viral on social media. Divya and Deepak had applied for anticipatory bail in a Rohtak court that they were denied. Meanwhile, Divya was arrested and sent to jail while Deepak approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court for bail.

The high court stayed his arrest, but directed that he join the investigation. Following this, Deepak talked to Rohtak police investigators and maintained that he had no connection with the suicide case.

Bahu Akbarpur SHO Inspector Neeraj said Deepak had joined the investigation and the police would urge the high court for the cancellation of his bail at the next date of hearing.
