In separate incidents, the police have recovered illicit liquor worth around Rs three lakh in the past 24 hours, registering six cases in this regard.

A spokesperson of the Police Department said cops seized 734 bottles of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country-made liquor brands from a liquor vend operating illegally at Swamikaa village in the district. One person, identified as Sanjay Kumar, a Farrukhabad, UP, resident who was working as a salesman, was nabbed from the spot. In another incident, cops seized 11 bottles of country-made liquor from one Ashok Kumar of Neemtal Mohalla of Palwal city. Liquor was recovered in smaller quantities from four other places in the district, with separate cases being registered for the incidents, it is revealed.
