Two thieves stole Rs 7 lakh from a shop at a village in Sirsa district. Shop owner Bhim Singh, along with hundreds of villagers, visited the SP’s office on Saturday and demanded immediate arrest of the thieves.

According to Bhim Singh, who owns a pesticide shop — Kisan Pesticides — at Surtia village, the incident happened on December 29, 2024, around 1.30 pm. Two young men came to his shop. One of them stole Rs 7 lakh from the cash counter and both fled from the shop. The entire theft incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras. Bhim Singh reported the incident to the police. A case was registered at the Rori police station. However, seven days have passed, but the police have not been able to arrest thieves.

The shop owner urged SP Vikrant Bhushan to arrest thieves as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the police assured complainant that the thieves would be arrested soon.
