In a direct attack on the RSS, BKU (Charuni) chief Gurnam Singh Charuni has accused the RSS of hatching a conspiracy to disrupt the farmers’ stir and threatening farm activists at dharna sites.

“Conspiracies are being hatched to disrupt the farmers’ movement and the RSS has been playing an active role. You have given a befitting reply and I appeal to you to foil all plans. People belonging to the RSS have been threatening people at dharna sites and they should be booked,” he said in a video message.

Motivating farmers to participate in the one-day fast on Saturday, Charuni accused RSS men of getting Mahatma Gandhi killed and idolising Nathuram Godse.

“I appeal to everyone to observe a one-day hunger fast on the occasion of the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. If toll plazas are away from your locations, you should fast at the block level,” he said.

Meanwhile, farmers continued their dharna at the Shambhu toll plaza in Ambala. Addressing the gathering, farmer leaders blamed Deep Sidhu for damaging the movement and said they would burn his effigy.
