SAI holds 3-day event to mark National Sports Day

He was addressing sportspersons on the occasion of birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
Rawal said, “Major Dhyan Chand gave a new identity to Indian hockey in the whole world. The youngsters should take inspiration from his life, and work hard to achieve their goals. A three-day National Sports Day programme has started today, and on the third day, on August 31, all players of SAI will reach Brahma Sarovar and participate in a cyclothon. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will flag off the cyclothon.”
IGN College observes National Sports Day
The Department of Physical Education and NCC Unit of Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, jointly celebrated National Sports Day and the “Fit India Movement” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand.
Principal Kushal Pal said every student should do at least 45 minutes of physical exercise, 15 minutes of meditation, daily and take a balanced diet.
