Sirsa, August 2
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured a delegation of the Bar Association of Rania that the tehsil would soon receive the subdivision status. Sirsa’s BJP district president Shishpal Kamboj and Bar Association secretary Ranjit Singh Kariwala, who were part of the meeting held at the CM’s residence in Chandigarh today, said they had put forth their request for the upgrade of the tehsil, after which the CM promised them that an announcement in this regard would be made during an upcoming rally in Rania.
Bar Association president Rinkal Banga, former president Harpal Singh Randhawa, vice-president Bhupendra Singh Virk, secretary Ranjit Singh Virk, former vice-president Rajan Kalra and advocate Prakashveer Jalandhar were among others who attended the meeting.
Earlier, Bar Association members in Rania continued their protest for the 17th day, demanding the sub-division status for Rania tehsil.
