An official spokesperson said the commission had received a complaint regarding infrequent sweeping in the area from a resident of Sector 49, NIT-Faridabad, even after multiple complaints had been lodged with the Municipal Corporation, Faridabad.

Being a notified service under Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, the commission took immediate cognisance and wrote to the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad.

The spokesperson said the Commissioner, MC, Faridabad, informed the commission that Sanitary Inspector Rajender Dahiya was the designated officer for the service. The Commission’s letters from September 2021 and November 2021 pertaining to the matter had been forwarded to him, but no action had been taken in this regard. —
