The CSI also found heaps of garbage near the wall of Swarn Jayanti Park in the ward. Nain marked the absence of the sanitation inspector and workers in the attendance register and issued notices to them. He said one day salary of the absent employees would be deducted.

Nain added that he had also issued instructions to all sanitation inspectors to improve the sanitation system of their respective wards.

“Departmental action will be taken against the sanitation inspectors and employees, who are found negligent in sanitation work,” said CSI Anil Nain.

He said on the instructions of MCYJ Commissioner Akhil Pilani efforts were being made to improve the cleanliness system in every ward.

He said a few months ago, a garbage point near the wall of the park was closed, but heaps of garbage were found there during his inspection.

Nain said he took the attendance of the sanitation workers posted in the ward and 11 employees, including a sanitation inspector, were found absent.

“Strict orders were also given for departmental action against the sanitation inspector of Ward 16, if the cleanliness system does not improve within two days,” said Nain.

CSI Anil Nain also went to Ward 15, where he found four sanitation workers arriving late on duty. He warned them of action in case they reach their workplace late in future. “All sanitation inspectors should monitor their respective areas properly. Improve the sanitation system by giving priority to public interest,” he added.
