The police have registered a case against five persons, including the woman sarpanch of Lahli village and her husband, following a group clash over the renovation of a religious structure built on panchayat land at the village.

Some residents of the village were repairing and renovating a religious structure on Friday. The sarpanch, Kashmiri, her husband Krishan and some other persons reached the site and objected to the construction work going on there.

Following that, a clash ensued among the sarpanch and her companions and the villagers engaged in the repair/renovation work. Several persons were injured in the clash.
