State Congress president and Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja has sent a demi-official letter to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar pertaining to illegal felling of trees in the Aravallis, construction on protected forest land, wildlife deaths and PLPA amendments. She requested the government to notify the wildlife corridor in the Aravallis as a wildlife sanctuary, install speed barriers using drone technology and set up a task force. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
