The police have registered a case against the principal of a private school for allegedly molesting a minor student.

On the complaint of the mother of the girl, a case was registered against the Principal under Sections 8 (Sexual assault committed by people in positions of trust or authority on children), 12 (whoever commits sexual harassment upon a child) of the POCSO Act at the Women police station, Yamunanagar, on August 27. The complainant told the police that her 15-year-old daughter was a student of Class IX at a private school in a village falling under the Sadar police station, Yamunanagar.

She said the Principal had touched her daughter with bad intentions.
