The Haryana Government has designated all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) across the state as competent authorities for project land consolidation under the Haryana Consolidation of Project Land (Special Provisions) Act, 2017.

A notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi stated: “Under Section 4(1) of the Act, all SDMs are hereby designated as competent authorities within their respective jurisdictions with immediate effect.”

These officers will now exercise the powers, perform the functions, and discharge the duties prescribed under the Act, in addition to adhering to any rules or instructions issued by the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management from time to time.
