The Punjabi Cell of the Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Akademi organised a seminar on the contribution of Punjabi writers in the freedom struggle and promotion of Punjabi language and culture at Panchkula on Sunday.

Addressing the seminar, KC Agnihotri, executive vice-chairman of the akademi, highlighted various initiatives of the government for the promotion of languages and culture. The Sahitya Akademi Award to Pal Kaur will go a long way in promoting Punjabi in Haryana, he said.
