Seven complaints received at Samadhan Shivir in Karnal
Seven complaints were registered during a Samadhan Shivir held at the Mini-Secretariat here on Thursday. While one grievance was resolved on the spot, six were forwarded to departments concerned for necessary action.
Among the seven complaints, one was related to caste verification under the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID), three pertained to the Karnal Municipal Corporation, two were associated with the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and one was related to the police.
“On the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Samadhan Shivir is organised at district headquarters as well as sub-division and MC level,” said Anubhav Mehta, SDM, Karnal.
Similar camps were also organised at thet sub-division and MC levels across the district, where people filed their complaints.
Since the launch of the Samadhan Shivir initiative on June 9, 2024, a total of 3,685 complaints have been received from residents of the district.
Of these, 2,867 grievances have been resolved, 226 complaints were rejected, 20 were reopened and 112 remain pending, reflecting the administration’s efforts towards citizen-centric governance.
A majority of the complaints continue to be linked to the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID), which is tasked with executing Haryana’s flagship Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) or Family ID programme.
The Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme aims to streamline access to government services by maintaining a comprehensive digital database of families in the state.
Initially, Samadhan Shivirs were organised on all working days from 9 am to 11 am at the district and sub-divisional offices.
Later, Municipal Committee offices were also included. However, in line with revised instructions issued by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, grievance redressal camps are now conducted every Monday and Thursday between 10 am and 12 pm at district headquarters, sub-divisional offices and municipal committee offices.
