As many as 14 complaints were listed for the meeting, of which six were resolved, three are pending in different courts, while the remaining five were kept pending. The minister directed the officials to resolve the pending complaints on priority. During the meeting, Minister Rajesh Nagar directed the Municipal Council Thanesar officals to shift the location of the dumping ground at the earliest. At present, a dumping ground is in operation near Brahma Sarovar.
“There are directions from the Chief Minister that complaints of every person must be taken seriously and resolved within the stipulated time frame. No negligence will be tolerated and action will be taken against the negligent officials”, the minister said.
Thanesar MLA Ashok Arora, Shahabad MLA Ramakaran Kala, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal, BJP district chief Tejender Singh, and several officials were present at the meeting.
While listening to a complaint related to beautification and cleanliness in sectors, the minister said the municipal council had installed new lights and the work to level the ground of the park in Sector 17 would be completed in a week. Some new arrangements for the children playing cricket and volleyball will be made so that the senior citizens don’t face any inconvenience in the park. Similarly, to stop people from roaming with dogs in the park, the municipal council will appoint an employee. The HSVP has prepared a project for the cleanliness and beautification of Sectors 17, 2, 10 and 30, for which a budget of Rs 115 lakhs will be provided to the municipal council.
In a complaint related to village roads, the minister directed the Executive Engineer of the marketing board to strengthen the roads leading to villages within the stipulated time period. At the meeting, a resident of Sector 5 raised the issue of dumping of garbage on vacant land of the municipal council, following which the minister directed the MC to install cameras, and deploy employees to take action against people who dump garbage in open areas.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar said the MC would ensure cleanliness and also take legal action against people who dump garbage.
The minister also directed the public Health Engineering Department to get a tubewell installed at Mohanpur village at the earliest and get the panchayat land vacant.
In a complaint regarding issuing a power connection on forged documents by the Power Department, the minister said a case was registered against the accused, and after investigation strict action would be taken. Meanwhile, three investigating officers will also be questioned in the matter for a delay of seven months in the registration of the FIR.
Speaking to mediapersons, the minister said the Opposition should cooperate in running the Assembly session for the development of the state and solving the problems of the public. In the Assembly session, the demands and problems of the public were put forward and the issues were resolved. In such a system, the Opposition should cooperate so that a solution was reached. The people of the state elected their representatives only to put forward their problems. The state would also develop if the problems were solved, he said.
