Jhajjar: A cellphone showroom at Diamond Chowk in the city caught fire on Tuesday night. A short-circuit is believed to be the reason behind the fire. Noni, the showroom owner, claimed cell phones, accessories and other items worth Rs two crore were gutted. Police personnel too reached the spot on getting information about the incident. TNS

Man arrested for duping girl student

Karnal: The Kaithal police have arrested a man who allegedly duped a girl of Rs 7 lakh, promising to secure her recruitment in the police force. The accused, identified as Ramesh Kumar, has been taken on a two-day police remand, said a police spokesperson. TNS
