Shreya wins silver medal in basketball school games

Shreya, a Class VIII student of New Happy Public School, Yamunanagar, brought laurels to her school and district by winning a silver medal in the 68th National Basketball School Games (U-14).

The tournament was held in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI).

Shreya's journey to the national tournament began with her selection in district trials, followed by her outstanding performance at the state-level competition held in Sonepat, Haryana.

Shreya credited her success to the guidance of school principal Dr Bindu Sharma and her basketball coach, Adarsh.

Rajesh Poswal, Sports AEO of Yamunanagar Education Department, congratulated the school on Shreya's remarkable achievement.

Gopal, secretary of the District Basketball Association, praised Shreya for showcasing her skills and making the district proud on the national level.

Dr Bindu Sharma applauded Shreya's dedication and hard work, saying, "Shreya's accomplishment does not only make the school proud but also the district and the state. The achievement reflects the exemplary guidance of our sports department and coach Adarsh."

Chairman GS Sharma said, "The success underscores our school's commitment to promoting both academics and sports. Shreya's dedication and determination exemplify the values we strive to instill in our students."

Bindu Sharma extended her congratulations to Shreya's parents and the entire sports department for their unwavering support in her journey.
