Minister for Women and Child Development, Irrigation and Water Resources, Shruti Chaudhry, said the implementation of the new GST structure is a significant gift to the people ahead of the festive season, brought forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at a press conference in Bhiwani on Monday, she said the new GST regime would bring prosperity to farmers, middle and lower-income groups, common man, youth and women while strengthening the country’s economic framework.

Chaudhry said: “All reforms in the GST structure have been made after thorough analysis and thoughtful consideration, keeping in mind the nation's economic growth."

The minister shared that along with the implementation of the new GST structure, the Prime Minister has also urged citizens to buy and adopt indigenous products. This will uplift the poor and middle-class and promote small and cottage industries, she added.

She said the state government is fully committed to farmers' welfare.
