On December 10, the votes would be cast for the posts of secretary, joint secretary, senior vice-president, vice-president and treasurer. The candidates have been campaigning for several days, and the club has seen high activity around the elections.

The Sirsa Club is divided into two groups. The district Deputy Commissioner is the club’s ex-officio president, and there is often competition between the secretary and vice-president groups over influence. The elections are held once every three years, and this year the dispute between the two groups even reached the High Court.
