Sirsa gears up for Sports Mahakumbh, trials begin on July 4

As part of this event, competitions will be held in 26 different sports, and district-level trials will be conducted to select the participants.
District Sports Officer Jagdeep said on July 4, trials for various sports including archery, athletics, boxing, fencing, hockey, judo, lawn tennis, wrestling, volleyball, taekwondo, and cricket would be held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Sirsa.
On the same day, gymnastics trials will take place at Ch Dalbir Singh Indoor Stadium, Sirsa. Swimming trials will be conducted at Shah Satnam Ji Swimming Pool, Sirsa, and handball trials will be held at Government National College, Sirsa, he said.
He added on July 5, badminton trials would be held at Sirsa Club. Meanwhile, the trials for basketball, cycling, kayaking and canoeing, kabaddi, kho-kho, rowing, table tennis and weightlifting will again be held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Sirsa.
