Sirsa students shine in inter-college volleyball tournament, bag gold

JCD Memorial College has claimed the gold medal in the inter-college volleyball tournament organised by Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU). In a thrilling final, the team triumphed over Shah Satnam Ji College, further bolstering the college’s reputation in sports.

Upon their return, the victorious team received a warm welcome at the college. Dr Jaiprakash, Director General of JCD Vidyapeeth, congratulated the players and commended their dedication. He stated that this victory is a source of pride not only for the college but also for the entire institution, inspiring others to strive for excellence.

Dr Jaiprakash highlighted that JCD Vidyapeeth has been making significant strides in sports due to its modern facilities and high-quality training programmes. “With hard work, discipline, and teamwork, every goal is achievable,” he remarked. He also emphasised the importance of professional coaches and advanced infrastructure in enhancing athletes’ performances at state and national levels.

Principal Dr Shikha Goel echoed these sentiments, congratulating the players on their success and appreciating the efforts of Sports Officer Dr Amreek Gill, Coach Rahul, and Sports In-charge Kuldeep for their unwavering support in training the students.
