The Department of Law at Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, hosted an induction programme to welcome newly admitted students. Held under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof Vijay Kumar and led by Head of Department Prof Ummed Singh, the event marked the beginning of the academic journey for students enrolled in BA LLB (1st year), LLB (1st year) and LLM.

Prof Ummed Singh extended a warm welcome to the freshers, assuring them that the department would provide every possible support and facility to help them excel in their legal careers. He emphasised that the university’s resources and dedicated faculty would be instrumental in shaping them into competent legal professionals.

As part of the programme, students were introduced to the various resources and facilities available in both the university and the law department. Dr Anil Kumar familiarised them with the department’s well-equipped library, while Dr Vikas Poonia outlined key departmental activities, including moot courts, legal awareness camps and academic events. He also highlighted the department’s notable achievements over the years.
