During the meeting, Bishnoi discussed several important initiatives, including improving the university’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading, effectively implementing the New Education Policy (NEP), and transforming CDLU into a Centre of Excellence.

He also emphasised the need to promote research activities within the university. The meeting included discussions on strategies to improve the university’s ranking by effectively showcasing its research and academic achievements on platforms such as NIRF.

The Vice-Chancellor instructed all faculty members to update their CVs and research papers on their scholar IDs, and encouraged them to participate in national and international conferences.

In addition, Bishnoi proposed improvements to the examination system, and directed necessary amendments to PhD ordinance to facilitate quicker admissions for PhD programmes.

He also instructed Surender Singh to engage alumni more actively.

The meeting also focused on improving the university’s budget and financial situation. To streamline promotions under the Career Advancement Scheme for teachers, an ad-hoc committee was formed — to be led by Dean (Academic Affairs) Suresh Kumar Gehlawat — to review pending cases.

Bishnoi said universities must raise awareness in society through outreach programmes. He stressed the importance of not limiting education to books, but giving importance to practical training as well. Registrar Dr Rajesh Kumar and Vice-Chancellor’s Technical Advisor Aseem Miglani were among those present at the event.
