Six persons were injured in two different road accidents in the last 24 hours in Palwal district. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

According to police sources, two persons, who were travelling in a car, were seriously injured after their vehicle rammed into a UP Roadways bus near Kuslipur village on the National Highway–19 in the district on Monday. The accident took place when the bus was trying to overtake the car. The injured have been identified as Kanta Devi and Arav, who were among the three occupants. They were on their way from Vrindavan (Mathura) to Delhi after a pilgrimage. The driver of the bus fled the spot after leaving the vehicle behind.

In the second incident, four persons, who were standing on a roadside, were injured when a car hit them near Pingor village on Monday evening. The driver had lost control over the steering wheel.  The car driver, identified as Salman, managed to flee the spot, leaving his car behind.  A police official said a case had been registered and the police had launched a hunt to nab the accused in both the cases. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
