SK Sawan takes charge as Hisar SP
Shashank Kumar Sawan, who has been transferred from Jhajjar district, took over as the Superintendent of Police of Hisar on Monday. Sawan is a 2015-batch Indian Police Service officer.
Prior to this, he has served as SP in Kaithal, Panipat, Karnal, Rewari and as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Gurugram and Jhajjar. After taking charge, the SP said that effective efforts would be made to curb crime in Hisar police district. He said his priority would be to eradicate drug abuse in the district, prevent road accidents, control cyber crime and stop crimes against women. “Every possible effort would be made to curb drug abuse and cyber crime and strict action would be taken against those involved in drug trafficking,” he said.
