The inauguration function of this 120-hour-long training programme for BTech third year students was held in Ch. Ranbir Singh Auditorium. Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, enlightened the audience saying that the university is open to all such kind of training programmes for students. He said as soon as students start working on employability skills, better will be their chances of success. He appealed to all participants to develop their aptitude and soft skills. Partap Singh, Director (Placement), urged students to learn traits like spirit of accepting challenge, strong willpower and hardwork from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Kaithal: Four science stude
nts of Indira Gandhi Mahila Mahavidyalaya (IGMMV), Kaithal, got first and second position in inter-college poster-making competition held at DAV college, Cheeka. Officiating principal Aarti Garg said the inter-college poster-making competition was organised by the Science Department of Cheeka college which was based on physics, chemistry and maths in everyday life. Three teams of two students each participated and in physics Kajal and Shakshi got the first position, while Aina and Jyoti got second position in chemistry.
Students perform garba, bhangra
Yamunanagar: A lunch party was organised at Swaraj Public School, Damla. On this occasion, students performed
garba, bhangra, giddha, Haryanvi dance, yoga and play. Students enjoyed different delicacies during the day. School headmistress Jyoti Nagpal Sethi said chairman of the school Ashok Kumar, who was the chief guest, encouraged children with his words of wisdom. Ashwani Aggarwal released the first newsletter of the school, ‘The Swaraj Vibes’, and congratulated students.
Household survey on rural living
Faridabad: A household survey at Chandawali village was undertaken by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh. According to Dr Krishan Kant, Principal, the study was conducted using standardised baseline household survey forms developed by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to assess the living conditions in the adopted village. The information collected include respondent’s profile, number of family members, household details and information related to availing of government schemes, sources of water, energy, power, agricultural inputs, local problems and general needs. Dr Devender and Subhash from the college supervised the survey.

Hisar: Four students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology have been selected in the campus placement drive of Sonepat-based printing company “Wonder Pac” organised by Training & Placement Cell of the university. Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof Harbhajan Bansal, Registrar of the university, congratulated the selected students.
