The demonstration was part of a nationwide call by the SKM to highlight the issue at block and tehsil levels. Farmers' organisations have condemned the policy and alleged that it is harmful for the agriculture community.

The SKM leaders urged the government to save the life of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was fighting for farmers' rights and was in a critical condition after fasting for over 50 days. They demanded immediate dialogue between the government and the farmers' representatives to address their concerns, including the legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP).

In Hisar, the protest was led by Shamsher Numbardar and Kartar Siwach. The farmer leaders criticised the new agricultural marketing policies, stating that it would further burden already indebted farmers. After staging a protest demonstration, they burnt the copies of the policy drafts and announced that they would intensify stir if their demands were ignored.

Similarly, in Siwani town of Bhiwani district, the members of the All India Kisan Sabha and SKM burned copies of the policy at the SDM office. The protesters raised slogans against the Centre, demanding immediate action to save Jagjit Singh Dallewal and fulfil farmers' demands. Farmer leaders including Dayanand Poonia, Ramchander Fauji, and others were present on the occasion. The farmers’ bodies plan to hold meetings to prepare the next plan of action for further protests against the government's ‘anti-farmer’ policies.
