Sonepat, August 16

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has expelled four of its members belonging to Haryana for “anti-morcha activities”. The decision was taken during a meeting on Saturday.

The SKM said the four expelled persons would neither be allowed to enter the morcha site nor address gatherings at any protest site.

Meanwhile, farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni retracted his statement on “Mission Punjab”. Some other pending issues were also resolved in a dialogue between the SKM and Charuni, farmer leaders said.

They further said the SKM would mark nine months of farmers’ protest by holding a national convention on August 26.
