The district unit of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced to block five toll plazas in Hisar district for four hours tomorrow in support of their demand for a law to guarantee the minimum support price of various crops.

Demands law on MSP

The Centre has failed to fulfil its promise to enact a legislation to guarantee MSP to the farmers… The four-hour-long blockade will serve as a wake-up call to the Union Government. Sadanand Rajli, SKM spokesperson

SKM spokesperson Sadanand Rajli said they held a meeting here today and decided to take over Ramayan, Baddo Patti, Landhari and Chaudhariwas and Baans toll plazas. These toll plazas would remain blocked from 11 am to 3 pm tomorrow, he added.

He said they took the decision on the call of the central leadership of the SKM. He said the Centre had failed to fulfil its promise of enacting a legislation for ensuring MSP to the farmers.

He said the four-hour-long blockade would serve as a wake-up call to the Centre. The SKM appealed to the farmers, labourers and youth to reach their nearest toll plazas in maximum numbers tomorrow.
