Social crusader Tilak Raj Chadha’s 111th birth anniversary celebrated

The event was attended by members of Chadha’s family, including Dr Kiran Chawla, Dr Mamta Bhargav, Dr Ramesh Kumar (General Secretary), Dr RK Garg (Officiating Director) and Dr Shaili Gupta, among others.
Tributes were paid to Tilak Raj Chadha in recognition of his unparalleled contributions to society and his pivotal role in shaping the Mukand Institutions, of which TIMT is a part.
The celebrations featured several activities highlighting Chadha’s life and philosophy. Inspirational speeches were delivered by Mehakdeep, an MCA final-year student, and Ansh, a first-semester BBA student, both of whom shared insights into his selfless dedication to societal welfare.
Dr Shaili Gupta, Officiating Director of TIMT, presented the annual report for the institute, detailing its achievements over the past year. She said, “Today’s event was held under the blessings and guidance of our Chairman, Seth Ashok Kumar.”
Dr Gupta also highlighted TIMT’s academic success, noting that the institute has secured 866 university positions and produced 23 gold medalists to date. This year alone, 117 positions were achieved across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The ceremony also honoured top-performing students. Deepakshi (MBA final, batch 2023-2025), Akanksha (BCA final, batch 2022-2025), and Ridham Singla (BBA final, batch 2022-2025) were awarded gold medals along with a cash prize of Rs 21,000 each.
Prerna (BCA) was awarded second place and a cash prize of Rs 15,000, while Anshika (MCA) and Manpreet (BBA), who secured third place, each received a cash prize of Rs 11,000 along with medals and certificates in recognition of their university positions.
The event concluded with a series of cultural performances, adding to the festive atmosphere.
In recognition of the successful event, the institution’s management announced a cash prize of Rs 31,000 to the participants who contributed to its success.
