In a special crackdown on people posting pictures with weapons on social media, the police arrested a young man from Nathusari Chopta area of Sirsa. The man, Rahul, a resident of Ganja Rupana village, had uploaded a photo on Instagram holding a gun. Taking serious note of the situation, the police arrested Rahul and charged him under the Arms Act. The police took quick action to ensure that such incidents do not spread fear among the public.

Sub-Inspector Rajaram confirmed the arrest and said that a case was filed against Rahul at the Nathusari Chopta police station. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan directed all police station heads and the cyber cell team to keep a close watch on social media posts. He emphasised strict action against anyone who uploaded photos or videos with weapons to create fear or panic.
