The Sports University of Haryana at Rai, Sonepat district, has extended the admission deadline for the 2025–26 academic session to August 21.

“It is decided in view of the growing interest and enthusiasm among students, ensuring that more aspiring candidates get an opportunity to apply,” said Ashok Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Sports University Haryana.

A few seats remain in the two-year M.P.E.S. (Master of Physical Education and Sports) programme for graduates. Applications are also open for the Sports Coaching programme in disciplines such as badminton, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, handball, lawn tennis, volleyball, yoga, judo, swimming, hockey, shooting, fencing, taekwondo and netball.

The university also offers specialised one-year PG Diploma courses in sports psychology, sports nutrition, sports management, strength and conditioning, and sports journalism and mass communication.

Highlighting the institution’s vision, Prof Kumar said, “The university is a golden platform for players, coaches and aspiring sports journalists, where they receive not only quality education but also training in line with international standards.”

Applications can be submitted online and further details are available on the university’s official website, the Vice-Chancellor added.
