Members of the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University Teachers’ Association (DCRUTA) and the Non-Teaching Employees’ Union continued their dharna at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Monday and raised slogans against the administration. The newly elected DCRUTA president, Ajay Kumar, alleged that the university administration was only engaged in serving its own interests instead of working for the institutes’s development. “The administration has not yet made the minutes of the Executive Council (EC) meeting public even after a month of the meeting. Earlier, the minutes used to be uploaded on the website within a week”.

The newly-elected executive committee of the DCRUTA, which was elected unanimously by the teachers, took oath at the protest site.

Notably, the non-teaching employees, under the banner of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Employees Union (DCREU), were on an indefinite strike for over 20 days while the members of DCRUTA have been on an indefinite strike against the university administration since July 16.
