In order to combat the Covid pandemic, special flu clinics have been started at government health facilities in the state.
The Rohtak district administration has launched a Covid helpline number – 01262-244163 – for the residents. The local residents who have returned from other countries are being identified and quarantined at their homes.
As per official sources, the state health authorities send lists of the residents with recent history of foreign travel to the district authorities concerned on a day-to-day basis for identification, monitoring and necessary action.
Talking to The Tribune here today, Rohtak Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Birla said as many as 65 residents of Rohtak who had recently returned from abroad had been identified and quarantined at their homes as a precautionary measure.
“Six of them had symptoms of flu. They were shifted to the isolation wards and screened for Covid. All of them have tested negative,” Dr Birla maintained.
Meanwhile, a special training session was organised at Rohtak PGIMS today to train the doctors of the state’s medical colleges regarding the control and management of Covid.
Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Prof OP Kalra, PGIMS Director Dr Rohtash K Yadav and Nodal Officer Prof Dhruv Chaudhary gave tips to the participating doctors.
