The Sirsa Municipal Council saw a voter turnout of 56.3 per cent. Out of 1,60,036 registered voters, 90,117 exercised their franchise.

Supporters of Congress MLA Gokul Setia and Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) leader Gopal Kanda entered into a verbal spat over slogans being raised near a polling station.

The situation escalated when MLA Setia arrived at the scene, leading to a brief argument with DSP Vikas Krishan. However, officials intervened and the situation was brought under control.

Several incidents of alleged voter fraud were reported. Some voters discovered that their votes had already been cast before they arrived.

In Sirsa’s Ward no. 21, Om Prakash Goyal faced this issue and demanded an investigation. After discussion, officials allowed him to cast a tender vote.

Many elderly and disabled voters faced difficulties as polling stations lacked wheelchair facilities. At Government National College in Sirsa, BJP state secretary Surendra Arya requested security officials to arrange wheelchairs.

Many voters struggled to find their polling booths due to changes in ward boundaries. Some voters were sent to multiple locations, while others found that their family members were registered in different wards.

In Ward 12, voters living on Begu Road were shocked to find their names listed in Ramnagaria. Frustrated by the confusion, some voters decided not to exercise their votes.

At Jakhal in Fatehabad district, polling was disrupted due to EVM malfunction. At Ward no. 4, the EVM stopped working, causing voting to halt for about an hour.

After voting, the EVMs were sealed and stored in

a strongroom.
