Gymnasts from the Sports University of Haryana, Rai, have brought glory to the nation on the international stage. At the Asian Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship 2025, three postgraduate students of the university — Rahul, Sagar and Sachin — represented India and delivered an outstanding performance. Their remarkable efforts earned three silver medals, helping India secure the overall second position in the championship.

Earlier, at the Open Senior Acrobatic National Championship held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, the MNSS Rai team showcased exceptional skill and sportsmanship, winning seven bronze medals and bringing laurels to the school and the state.

Further, during the Haryana School State Gymnastics Championship held from October 8 to 10 in Ambala Cantt, the MNSS Rai team demonstrated exceptional technique and teamwork, clinching 13 gold and four bronze medals to lift the overall team championship title.

Vice-Chancellor Ashok Kumar congratulated the athletes and their coach, appreciating their dedication and discipline.

“This achievement is a moment of pride not only for our university but also for the entire state of Haryana and the nation. Our athletes are consistently reaching new heights through dedication, discipline and self-belief. This success is the outcome of the university’s scientific training approach, high-performance facilities and the tireless efforts of our coaching staff,” he said.

Ashok Kumar further expressed confidence that the university’s athletes would soon bring laurels to India at the Olympic and World Championship levels. He extended his best wishes to the medal winners and specially commended the efforts and guidance of Dr Takdeer Singh Kundu, the coach behind their success.
