The UHS Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Anita Saxena, who was accompanied online by NAMS president Dr Shiv Kumar Sarin, upcoming president Dr Digambar Behera and president-elect Lt Gen Dr Velu Nair, inaugurated the NAMS cell.
The UHS Vice Chancellor congratulated the team of Dean (Academic Affairs) Dr Dhruv Chaudhry and Dr Mala Kamboj for the new beginning at the university and stated that they would make all efforts to take it to new heights.
She underlined the significance of collaborative work by the UHS and NAMS to make more fellows and members impart soft skills to students and facilitate their exchange programmes with the other colleges of the country.
"The undergraduate as well as postgraduate medicos should take monetary support from here and do research in the interest of society," said Dr Chaudhry.
UHS Registrar Dr HK Agrawal, PGIMS Director Dr S S Lohchab, PGIMS Dean Dr KS Laller, PGIDS Dean Dr Sanjay Tewari, PGIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Kundan Mittal and Director, Atal Bihari Medical College, Chhainsa, Dr BM Vashishth, were present.
The directors of the other medical colleges in the state joined the inaugural ceremony online.
