A state-level function will be organised in Gurugram on the occasion of Good Governance Day on December 25 in which CM Nayab Singh Saini will be the chief guest.

According to a letter issued by the Chief Secretary’’s Office, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar will be the chief guest at the district-level function in Faridabad while Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan will be the chief guest at the district-level function in Kaithal.

Energy Minister Anil Vij will attend the function in Sirsa, Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar in Hisar, Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh in Nuh and School Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda will attend the function in Bhiwani as chief guests.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
